SD RESIDENCE

The interior design of the apartment, located in a restored 100-year-old building in Pera / Beyoğlu, was developed with careful consideration of the building’s historical character and existing architectural constraints. The age of the structure played a defining role in the design process, requiring a controlled and respectful approach to spatial interventions.
The interior layout and material choices were shaped in line with the layered urban context and historical atmosphere of Beyoğlu. A restrained color palette, selected materials, and lighting decisions were used to support the existing proportions of the space and enhance natural light. Traditional architectural references were reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, aiming to establish a balanced relationship between the past and present.
The project seeks to create a calm and cohesive interior environment that responds to contemporary living needs while maintaining a strong connection to the building’s historical identity.
